Furniture Transformation

Hey Y’all, Check out our latest furniture transformation! This custom piece, once despised by our client, has been completely revitalized and is now a beloved focal point in her dining room. Despite the initial dislike, the client was determined to keep this piece due to its sentimental value, belonging to a family member. With free rein granted to us, we embarked on a journey to breathe new life into this piece.

We began by stripping away the outdated wood pegs and railing, as well as removing the old backing from the top of the hutch. After a thorough cleaning, we meticulously sanded the surface and applied Bondo glaze to conceal any imperfections in the existing finish. Following another round of sanding and a final solvent clean, we applied two coats of primer, followed by two coats of a carefully chosen color to complement the dining room’s decor, ensuring a flawlessly smooth finish with sanding between each coat.

To elevate the hutch’s aesthetics, we sourced new backing and adorned it with a stunning wallpaper in a harmonious pattern and color scheme that harmonized with the existing furnishings. In place of the original wood pegs and railing, we installed antique brass bar railing, adding a touch of sophistication and class. The transformation was completed with the addition of new matching brass hardware to the doors and drawers, enhancing both the aesthetic and functionality of the piece.

Upon delivery, our client’s reaction was nothing short of pure joy and satisfaction. Seeing her once-disliked piece transformed into a cherished and stylish addition to her dining room was truly rewarding.
